Passive Income Shifts & My Marketing DNA Test Results: A Personal Journey

Life's Unforeseen Turns and Online Business Blessings

Whew! Life took an unexpected turn in early March, shifting my focus from full-time entrepreneurship to full-time caretaking. My dad, who had maintained near perfect health, suddenly fell ill with a severe kidney infection, progressing rapidly from perfect health on March 2nd to near death by March 6th. This infection led to septic shock and the failure of multiple organs. Before any diagnosis, he experienced dizziness and fell, breaking both ankles—a situation that left him wheelchair-bound for nearly two months due to complications in obtaining clearance for surgery.

Despite these challenges, I feel incredibly fortunate to have my online business as a source of stability and blessings. Most of March was dedicated to familial duties, but it's shaping up to be one of the best years in some time.

Financial Highlights and Milestones

  • Merch by Amazon: In February, I achieved a $10K revenue month, with print on demand revenue exceeding $13K across various platforms (Amazon, Etsy, RedBubble, Spreadshirt, Zazzle, etc.). This marks the first time print on demand income surpassed my primary affiliate source. However, it's crucial to note that Merch by Amazon is unpredictable; consistent growth isn't guaranteed.

  • Print on Demand Success: My overall print on demand revenue has been robust, highlighting the potential of this avenue.

  • Course Income Growth: I've also experienced record months with my Personalized Shirt Profits (PSP) courses. Podcasting remains my primary promotion method, and course income has surpassed affiliate income, aligning with a long-standing business goal.

The Work Never Ends: A Course Launch Journey

Just launching a course isn't enough; the real work begins afterward. Creating course content is one thing, but ensuring students can successfully execute what they've learned is another challenge entirely. Feedback and student questions play a vital role in refining and optimizing your course for optimal learning outcomes.

Staying Connected with Students

This year, I introduced weekly strategy tips for my Merch Course students, which has proven beneficial for both me as an instructor and the students. Regular communication keeps everyone engaged and supported throughout their learning journey.
